A- Linguistically

- The word adolescence is derived from the strenuous verb in the sense of right or inferior, as it indicates approaching and close to dreaming. Adolescence in this sense is the individual who comes close to dreaming and completeness of maturity.

In the Latin game, the word adolescence is derived from the Latin verb adolescence, which means gradation towards physical, sexual, mental, and emotional maturity.

Ibrahim Kadhim Al-Azmawi: Adolescence is a critical turning point in a person’s life, as his progress and the benefits he attains in physical and emotional development raise him from the middle childhood level to the stage of modernity.

We have indicated in the definition of adolescence that the beginning of the stage is difficult, and this is due to physiological changes and structural transformations. Therefore, scholars and researchers differed in determining the time of adolescence in terms of its beginning, as well as its end, and how long it lasts in human life, however, due to the absence of a specific and objective external measure for these measurements, they subjected them to their field of studies and facilitating them.
Where American researchers and scholars go to divide adolescence into three sections to facilitate the field of study and research only and only to control all the psychological changes and aspects of behavior that occur during this period in the following sections:

   2- 1- Early adolescence (12-14 years)

It extends from the beginning of the rapid growth that accompanies puberty to about one to two years after puberty when the stability of new biological changes in the individual, and at this early stage the teenager seeks independence and wants to get rid of the restrictions and powers surrounding him and wakes up with a sense of himself and his being as well as sexual acumen.

   2-2- Middle adolescence (15-17 years)

It is also called the secondary stage, and what distinguishes this stage is the relatively rapid sexual development in the stage, and the physiological and physiological changes in the adolescent's interest in its appearance, strength, and self-love increase.

   2-3 - Late adolescence (18-21) years

It is called the youth stage, as it is considered the stage of making decisions in which to choose the future profession as well as choosing a husband or celibate, and it turns towards emotional youth and some emotions crystallize such as looking after the external appearance and searching for social status.
